On top of that, the insurance industry is blaming these increases on health care reform and using their blockbuster profit margins to fight reform.
So are we getting blackmailed? Or just stolen from coming and going?
Single biggest reform needed - offer the same tax break employer's get for buying insurance to individuals.
Better yet, let employer's get the same tax break for reimbursing an employee's individual plan that they get for buying a group plan. Then regulate individual plans in a way that they match group plans (specifically, no preexisting conditions). Then insurer's would work for consumers instead employers. Power to the consumer - that's reform.
My 2 cents, Joel
